UN Day
UN Day is a chance to celebrate all the diverse cultures represented at Wesley. All students come dressed in their native garb and many pictures are taken. There is also a special chapel held in which songs from various languages are sung, and afterwards, a meal is organized by the parents that includes foods from all the countries represented.
Talent Show
The Talent Show is a night when elementary students, highschool students, and teachers alike can showcase their talents for the Wesley community.
Senior Presentation
Senior Presentation is a time for the seniors to showcase the hard work they’ve been doing in senior presentation class. Each senior formally presents a topic he or she has thoroughly researched and there is a time for question and answer afterwards.
Christmas Banquet
The Christmas Banquet is a fun and casual event for grades 7-12 that allows students to hang out, eat food, and have fun in a festive atmosphere.
Valentines Banquet
The Valentines Banquet is an ASB planned event that takes place in February. It is a fun time to dress formally, eat nice food, and take pictures.
Spirit Week
Spirit Week happens one week out of the year right before one of the IISSAC tournaments. The ASB decides themes for each day that students dress up for individually or as a class. First period is used to show all the rest of the school the effort that was put into the costumes.
Camps
There are three camps available for 6th-12th grade at Wesley
-Middle School Camp- is held for grades 6th-8th over the course of one weekend. Highschoolers grades eleven and twelve have the opportunity to serve as camp counselors.
-Highschool Camp- is held for grades 9 to 12 over the course of one weekend. Teachers run the whole event.
-Leadership Camp- is held for grades 9 to 12 over the course of one weekend. This camp is special because only students who have run for the ASB or are specially invited are allowed to attend.
Mission Trip
Mission Trip is an opportunity for highschool students from grades 9 to 12 to serve Indonesian people at various locations in Indonesia. Sometimes they go to a school to teach, or to a church to lead worship. It’s a great opportunity to become involved with local people and share the love of Christ.
