Philosophy Statement
God is a relational God and has chosen to reveal himself largely through the revelation of Scripture. Students will study scripture and become more familiar with their God to bring them into a closer relationship with Him. As they learn more from and about Scripture they will become equipped to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” 1 Peter 3:15. As they struggle for the answers they will become more “sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” Hebrews 11:1.

Course Objective
For students to study the attributes of God (ESLR: RUC, ET), in order to gain a true Biblically based understanding (ESLR: RUC, NLL) of the nature and character of God, to be able to understand how God in his attributes has relevance for life and all people today (ESLR: ET, NLL, SCW), and to personally apply them to their own lives (ESLR: NLL, RUC). As a result, students will be equipped to give answers to those who don’t know Jesus. (ESLR: RUC, DC, SCW).
