High School – Auto Mechanics 1 & 2

Philosophy Statement

In auto mechanics student will learn how every part of the car is unique and that though there are so many member parts, yet all of them are one and all are important.

Students will develop a greater understanding of why God created us and that each of us has a purpose to glorify the Lord

Course Objective
In Auto Mechanics I students will learn the main principles of how engines work, the main parts of the car engine, and the other main mechanical parts of the car plus the tools to be used. The student also will know how to do simple car maintenance, simple mechanical work, engine tune up, and how to do body work in Auto Mechanics II.

50 minutes per day, 5 days a week

Evaluation
On going quizzes – 35%
Practical work – 45%
